Hi, I’m Nicole Hawken.

Goldie's Animal Rehab Co. is a Physiotherapy-inspired practice that focuses on helping four-legged family members live their best life. Goldie’s embodies the reason why I’m so passionate about my work, the name ‘Goldie’s’ was inspired by my sweet little Golden, Gracie.

As a Registered Physiotherapist working as an Animal Rehabilitation Therapist, I assess injuries and conditions that affect a pet's ability to move or function independently. This is helpful for animals that are recovering from injury or just trying to age gracefully. I’m passionate about empowering owners through education to help improve, and in some cases prolong, the quality of life of their pets.

I graduated from Queen's University with a Master's of Physiotherapy and went on to become a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in 2010. Once I started my human practice, I took courses to become a Certified Animal Rehabilitation Therapist through the Animal Rehabilitation Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. My next goal is to complete my Diploma in Animal Rehabilitation.

Goldie’s Animal Rehab Co.’s mission is simple: offer a really great experience. In doing so, we will educate and empower owners to make informed decisions about their pets' health to uncover the hidden potential in each and every one.
